Kristen has been at the forefront of new breakthroughs in the healthcare industry since starting her legal practice. Her scholarship in the cutting-edge practice of Medical Travel has garnered the attention of the American Bar Association, which published her study on the concept as it related to healthcare proposals that at the time the Affordable Care Act was merely a campaign proposal. From this article, her passion for medical tourism and global healthcare flourished.

She served as in-house counsel and compliance officer at the nation's leading medical travel company. While there, Kristen was a catalyst in the company achieving a comprehensive intellectual property portfolio centered around the business model that drives the medical travel market.

Kristen's practice is concentrated in health law, transactions, and business and corporate law, with expertise in healthcare corporate structuring and governance, transactions and compliance, and medical malpractice.

Kristen has extensive experience serving as in-house counsel to start-up and early-stage companies by managing all legal exposures and risks overseeing contract drafting, negotiation and execution, safeguarding corporate assets, and ensuring regulatory compliance on a federal and state level.

In addition to collaborating with healthcare companies, her passion is being a part of the journey in the assisted reproductive technology process of her clients worldwide. Kristen represents clients in drafting legal agreements to be executed with gestational carriers and intended parents. She also represents parties engaged in egg, sperm and embryo donations. She zealously advocates for her clients' interests from a healthcare perspective. Her legal background in the healthcare industry makes her a force in ensuring the journey for all parties involved is as honest and positive as possible.

When swell conditions are right, she can be found paddling out surfing with her clients.
