Meet Kristen Armstrong

Kristen has been at the forefront of new breakthroughs in the healthcare industry since starting her legal practice. Her scholarship in the cutting-edge practice of Medical Travel has garnered the attention of the American Bar Association, which published her study on the concept as it related to healthcare proposals that at the time the Affordable Care Act was merely a campaign proposal. From this article, her passion for medical tourism and global healthcare flourished.

She served as in-house counsel and compliance officer at the nation’s leading medical travel company. While there, Kristen was a catalyst in the company achieving a comprehensive intellectual property portfolio centered around the business model that drives the medical travel market.

Kristen’s practice is concentrated in health law, transactions, and business and corporate law, with expertise in healthcare corporate structuring and governance, transactions and compliance, and medical malpractice.

Kristen has extensive experience serving as in-house counsel to start-up and early-stage companies by managing all legal exposures and risks overseeing contract drafting, negotiation and execution, safeguarding corporate assets, and ensuring regulatory compliance on a federal and state level.

In addition to collaborating with healthcare companies, her passion is being a part of the journey in the assisted reproductive technology process of her clients worldwide. Kristen represents clients in drafting legal agreements to be executed with gestational carriers and intended parents. She also represents parties engaged in egg, sperm and embryo donations. She zealously advocates for her clients’ interests from a healthcare perspective. Her legal background in the healthcare industry makes her a force in ensuring the journey for all parties involved is as honest and positive as possible.

Meet Katie Galagarza

Case Manager

Katie offers extensive experience in case and office management. However, it is her ability to make every client feel like our only client that sets her apart. Katie’s counseling background coupled with her kind and composed nature makes her a true confidant for our Intended Parents and Gestational Carriers. She is uniquely qualified to assist our clients in all phases of the assisted reproductive technology process. Katie has a B.A Communication from the University of Pittsburgh. Katie always keeps her cool and enjoys spending time with her family in San Diego, California.

Meet Maggie Zhang

Translator/Interpreter 

As an English-Chinese translator and interpreter, Maggie is called upon to translate review calls and contracts with Chinese-speaking clients. While her translation expertise is second to none, her kind and calm demeanor truly resonates with Intended Parents, especially during what can be an emotional journey. She graduated from the Sichuan International Studies University with a Bachelor’s in English-Chinese Translation. She then obtained a Master’s degree in English-Chinese Translation Theory & Practice from the Tianjin University of Commerce in 2012. During this time, she simultaneously participated in the Advanced Translation Program (on Consecutive and Simultaneous Interpreting) at the China Foreign Affairs University. Maggie lives in Beijing and at any given moment, she and Kristen can be found chatting on WeChat about all things surrogacy-related.
